About Max
Max started writing short stories when he was in high school. Writing was the only way for him to express himself in a way that made sense to him. His creative pursuits grew into inquiries of personal growth, like journalling. Not soon after, he earned his B.A. in English at Kent State University, where he would complete his short story collection, Oakwood. Since then, Max's writing has been published both nationally and internationally, while still finding time to pursue photography projects, teaching, editing, and event organizing in the local community. He is currently based in Cleveland, Ohio.
Max also has years of project management skills to offer. He's aided in the construction of millions of dollars of commercial construction as a laborer, assistant superintendent, and project engineer. His experience in the field and project management has helped him anticipate subcontractor and client needs. Not only this, but he's developed a hellacious urgency to solve unexpected problems. Max is detail-oriented, a great communicator, and relentless problem solver. A project doesn't succeed for Max if the client doesn't win. Max's experience as an independent artist and construction professional makes him an ideal teaching artist who for your next teaching or writing opportunity.
